After Breakfast, we shall drive to Punakha & on its way we shall stop at Dochula Pass, the road climbs for an hour till we reach Dochula Pass. If weather permits, this pass offers the most spectacular view over the high peaks of the Eastern Himalayans. You may enjoy a cup of tea/coffee at Dochula resort. Visit the beautiful 108 chortens built on the hill by Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo for the security and well-being of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

Hike to chimmi lhakhang- Chimi Lhakhang, also known as Chime Lhakhang or Monastery or temple, is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District, Bhutan. Located near Lobesa, it stands on a round hillock and was built in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel, after the site was blessed by the “Divine Madman” the maverick saint Drukpa Kunley (1455–1529) who built a chorten on the site.

Visit Punakha Dzong. The Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungtang Dechen Photrang Dzong (meaning ‘the palace of great happiness or bliss’) is the administrative centre of Punakha dzongkhag in Punakha, Bhutan. Constructed by Zhabdrung (Shabdrung) Ngawang Namgyal on the 8th day and 8th month of the Fire ox year in 1673, it is the second oldest and second largest dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures. Punakha Dzong was the administrative centre and the seat of the Government of Bhutan until 1955, when the capital was moved to Thimphu.

After that we will visit, nunnery on way to home stay. Evening culture event with locals.

– Morning enjoy the view as well as farm visit, hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten
This chorten (stupa) was built in 2004 by HM The Queen Mother, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, in Nyizergang — about a thirty-minute walk uphill from the footbridge in Yepaisa Village.

-It was built in accordance with the instructions of Lopon Sonam Zangpo, with the intention of bringing peace in the world in general, and to clear obstacles for the country of Bhutan in particular.

-Its exterior is in the form of a pagoda like stupa while the interior consists of four stories containing images of the deities of mandalas of Vajarakilaya.

-Bartsham Lama Kunzang Wangdi, popularly known as Lama Nyingkula, a close disciple of Dudjom Rinpoche was in charge of the construction of this chörten.

After completed hike to khamsum yulley namgyel chorten and the go for river rafting at female / Male river side.

Overnight: Punakha

Morning proceed to paro via Douchu la, start hike toLungchutse Hike: Hike through forest of Rhododendrons and hemlock- Bhutan Day hikes could be fun. Many a trail takes walkers past remote and ancient monasteries, through deep forest of towering trees, wildflowers and birds. And by such is a Lungchutse hike known for. Lungchutse hike is a beautiful hike through the forest of hemlock and rhododendrons. It is one of the best hikes in Bhutan that you can try. It takes you to the two of the most beautiful monasteries at hill top, Trashigang Goenpa and Lungchutse Temple (Elevation: 3100 to 3569 meters)

After lunch visit incense factory and drive to paro. Stop near chu zom- two river meeting together, visit Tamcho Temple and iron bridge, stop near paro river and enjoy the view of Paro airport. Evening spend your time in Paro Market.

Over Night at Paro

Morning drive to Haa Via Chele la Pass, stop at chele la pass – located at 3810m (13,000ft), between the valley of Paro and Haa is Chele La, the highest road pass in the country and drive to Ha Valley- This steepy north – south valley is the ancestral home of Queen Grandmother of Dorji family. Just 30 kms away from Paro valley is filled with paddy fields all around the county. Surrounded by mountains and vast grasslands, Haa valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Bhutan. This serene place is filled with tradition. People here follow the traditions said by 8th Guru Padmasambhava which can be seen in the local traditions and festivals.

Hike to Chelela to Kila Goenpa Hike – The hike is not strenuous. You will be hiking through the forest of rhododendron and wild flowers. This is also a good place to hunt for blue poppy, the national flower of Bhutan. If we are lucky we will also encounter various species of birds. The most common one would be Himalayan moral, blood pheasants, spotted laughing thrush, yellow billed Magpies and white throated red starts.

After one and half hour of hike we could finally get the glimpse of Kila nunnery, hanging on the edge of mountain cliff. It was a wonderful feeling being there, we could just see the cloud floating below our feet.

If time permits- visit National Museum and Kitchu Lhakhang

Overnight: Paro

Early Morning after breakfast back to Paro & go to hike to the famous Taktshang Lhakhang “The Tigers Nest”. Climbing to a black rock face, 900 meters above the valley floor, nestles Taktshang Lhakhang, one of the holiest and the most beautiful site of Bhutan. Taktshang, the tiger’s Nest, acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress. He meditated at the site for three months, from where he used the religious cycle of the Kagye to subjugate the Eight Categories of Evil Spirits, and thus converted the region to Buddhism. The hike to the Monastery is a gradual climb through the quiet approach path winds through lush meadow, oak and rhododendron forest, past quaint hamlets, fluttering prayer flags and rotating prayer wheels. The hike takes you about 4-5 hours from the car park.
